ALC Bridge/Branch Controller
STARGATE now supports ALC lighting dimmers and switches from OnQ Technologies for a reliable hard-wired lighting solution.
STARGATE communicates to ALC switches over the RS-485 network via ALC Bridge/Branch Controllers (ALCB).
Connections
ALC dimmers and switches require the hot, neutral and load wires at each ALC dimmer/switch location. In addition, a pair of low voltage wires (category 5) connects the ALC dimmer/switches (in a daisy-chain configuration) to an ALC Bridge which in turn connects to STARGATE's RS-485 network. Up to 31 ALC devices can be driven from an ALC Bridge. Up to 8 ALC Bridges can be connected to STARGATE's RS-485 network for control of up to 248 ALC devices.&ensp (See also application note alc.pdf.)
